How it works

How the retrofit funding check works

From a short eligibility check to reviewed next steps, Curator Renovatis helps you understand possible funding routes before any installer is contacted.

Indicative results only. Human-reviewed. No guarantee of funding.

Step 01Under 3 minutes

Complete the eligibility check

  • Answer structured questions about your property, tenure, EPC, heating and circumstances.
  • Curator Renovatis checks your answers against major tracked funding routes.
  • You receive an indicative results view instantly.
Step 02Indicative only

Review your funding routes

  • Your results show tracked routes that may apply.
  • Near-miss or uncertain routes can be shown with plain-language reasons.
  • Results are not approvals and funding is not guaranteed.
Step 03Consent first

Submit your contact details

  • You choose whether to leave your name, email and phone number.
  • Your results can be saved for review.
  • No installer is contacted before review and consent.
Step 04Usually 1 to 2 working days

Human review of your results

  • A person reviews the information you provided.
  • We check whether the route appears credible before any referral.
  • Evidence, survey checks or missing details may still be needed.
Step 05Review before referral

Next steps and installer matching

  • We explain the next step in plain English.
  • If appropriate and with consent, you may be connected with a suitable installer or partner.
  • A technical survey is still required before any works or funding decision.

Standards and accreditations

Retrofit standards and accreditations you may encounter

Some funding routes and installation types involve recognised standards, certified installers or formal retrofit processes. Curator Renovatis helps surface what may be relevant, but final checks depend on the scheme, survey and installer.

MCS

Microgeneration Certification Scheme

Commonly relevant for heat pumps and some renewable technologies. It relates to installer and product standards, not automatic grant approval.

TrustMark

Government-endorsed quality mark

Relevant to many government-backed home improvement routes. It helps identify quality-assured trades and scheme requirements.

PAS 2035

Publicly Available Specification 2035

A recognised framework for whole-house retrofit assessment, design and coordination. It may be relevant where scheme rules require structured retrofit delivery.

These are standards you may encounter in the retrofit process. Curator Renovatis is not a certifying body and does not carry out installations.
