WHAT THIS ROUTE IS

ECO4 is a government-mandated scheme obligating large energy suppliers to fund energy efficiency improvements for low-income and vulnerable households. It aims to bring homes to EPC band C or above through insulation, heating upgrades, and other eligible measures. There is no upfront cost to eligible households.

Who may qualify

The following criteria may apply. These are indicative only and subject to scheme rules and installer assessment.

Households receiving qualifying benefits such as Universal Credit, Pension Credit, Child Benefit (income-limited), Child Tax Credit, or Working Tax Credit

Households with a combined annual income below £31,000 (income-based route)

Properties with an EPC rating of D, E, F, or G

Owner-occupiers and eligible private tenants in England, Scotland, and Wales
