WHAT THIS ROUTE IS
The Warm Homes: Local Grant (WHLG) is a UK Government programme that allocates funding to local authorities in England to deliver energy efficiency and low-carbon heating upgrades to low-income households in properties with poor energy performance. It is the successor to the Home Upgrade Grant (HUG) and related schemes. Eligibility criteria and available measures are set by each local authority.

Low-income owner-occupiers with a property rated EPC E, F, or G (and some D-rated properties)
Private tenants in properties rated EPC E–G with landlord consent
Households in or at risk of fuel poverty
Residents in local authority areas that have been allocated WHLG funding
